Police Suspects Body Found to Be Densfield Bowen

A body suspected to be that of  a Plues Street resident was found this evening at around five o’clock in the vicinity of the West Lake Residential Community at mile eight on the George Price Highway about four hundred yards through a feeder road.  The decomposed body who police suspect is 27-year-old, Denfield Bowen Junior also known as ‘LL’ was found in the pan of Bowen’s red pickup truck.  Densfield Bowen Body Found 2Bowen had gone missing on April 30, 2015 and was last seen by his common-law wife, Claudine Dawson on that Thursday evening when they had gone to the store together.  According to Dawson, he left shortly in his red Mazda pickup truck after he received a phone call around 5:20pm and has not been seen or heard from since.  His spouse says since he was not in the habit of being away for more than a few hours, she went to the police on Labor Day, May 1, to file a missing person’s report.  A search was conducted in the Dyke Area near Faber’s Road in Belize City by family member and members of the George Street gang but Bowen was nowhere to be found.  Love News understands that police from the Hattieville Police Station along with personnel from the Scenes of Crime Unit are currently at the scene where the body was found, conducting their investigations.  Bowen is the father of four children and was known to be associated with the George Street Gang.  We will have more on this story in our Friday newscast.
