RENEE TRUJILLO REPORTING

“Investigators of Precinct Two of the Belize Police Department are investigating Friday night’s murder that took the life of 28-year-old, Allison Williams.  Williams was at home with his wife when he received a phone call and subsequently convinced his wife for them to go out … but they never made it out together.  His wife, Doris, told us what happened.”

DORIS WILLIAMS

“He got a text and I asked him who was texting him and he said, “the neighbor”. He told me that the neighbor was texting him to play game; that is what he said to me and he got up and he went to the bathroom but the lights were already off in the house because we don’t sleep with lights on, we were already in our bed … and I saw the light of the phone and I asked who is calling you and he said ‘nobody’. He said, “babe do you want to go to the Princess?” I told him that I didn’t have any money and he said that he would give me the money for us to play and so, I told him I would get ready.  allison williams 2He went to the neighbor’s house and he told me to go hail my friend and see if she wants to go with us; I went to her house and asked her if she wanted to go but she said that she was putting the baby to sleep. I called him and told him to wait a little while until she puts her baby to sleep.  He called me at 9:35pm and said, “babe I’m coming for you now” and at 9:38pm I got a call from his number and when I said, “babe?”, a young lady answered and she said to me, “they killed your husband, he’s on Partridge street”.  I asked who it was but the call got cut.  She called back and she said, “Ms. Doris, they killed your husband and he is behind KREM and he is still on the ground” and I ran out from the veranda where I was sitting with the young lady and I screamed out and I screamed, “they killed Wally!”.”

“According to the wife, Williams was no saint but he had been living a straight and normal life since they met in 2012.  So much so, that the last record that the police have of him is dated back to April 2013.”

DORIS WILLIAMS

“Anybody who knows him knows he goes anywhere.  When I go to do my hair around George Street, this guy goes for me, he goes anywhere.”

RENEE TRUJILLO REPORTING

“Up to this morning, police were still out canvassing the scene and speaking to residents in the area but up to news time they have not detained anyone.  According to the Officer in Charge of Precinct Two, Senior Superintendent Alden Dawson, Williams was known to the police as he did garner several charges for drug offenses but despite his history, his death has brought about another murder investigation for the authorities to deal with.”

ALDEN DAWSON

“Information received are that he went to visit some female friends and whilst there with the female friends talking a fair skinned male person approached the group and fired several shots, two of which caught the now deceased Williams.”

RENEE TRUJILLO REPORTING

“Williams had several children outside his marriage and was a construction worker, who had recently won a contract with CISCO Construction.  His neighbour, who also worked with him spoke of Williams’ character.”

FRIEND/NEIGBOUR

“I know Mr. Williams since he was a young boy as much as I could tell you he was a good person to me, sometimes he also fed my family. I was working for him before the accident and the last time I saw Mr. Williams was Friday evening with a cheque in his hand waiting to change it so he could pay his guys. When I woke up on Saturday morning I got the news I thought it was so sad because like I said I was working for him in his house and so this morning I would be working for him if he was still alive. He was a good guy and he was outspoken and he didn’t keep his mouth shut. Sometimes I see the police come to him and he wouldn’t keep his mouth shut. When I look on it, he got married and from then he started to do different things from when I know him growing up because growing up on Kraal Road in this area they claim to say it is a bad neighborhood and he is one of the guys that live in this area. To tell you the truth I don’t know what those guys do because I am 53 years old and I am not in those things. He was a nice guy, he was outspoken he took care of his kids and he married about four or five months ago; he tried to change his life and beside that I really can’t push it any further.”

“Love News has learnt that some weeks ago an attempt was made on Williams’ life due to a friendship he had with a woman.  Williams was shot to the head and reportedly died on the spot.  He recently turned 28 on June 6.  Reporting for Love News, I am Renee Trujillo.”
