Drug Bust in Northern Belize

Three men and a woman have been charged for trafficking heroin. Police say that yesterday evening, the Anti-Drug Unit was on special operations in the Corozal District which consequently led them to a residence in Ranchito Village. There they came across three men, a woman and two children. A search was conducted on the premises and authorities discovered seven parcels of heroin. The trio, 51 year old Fermin Velasquez, 25 year old Eber Rivera, 51 year old Kua “Peter” Liao and 38 year old Alba Velasquez, were all taken to the Corozal Police Station along with the drug which weighed seven thousand four hundred and eighteen grams. The group was charged for the crime of drug trafficking.
