According to Orange Walk Police, the special branch had been following some leads from Interpol about a certain individual who had turned a resident of Yo Creek village.  In speaking with the Officer Commanding Orange Walk Police, ASP Selvyn Tillett, he explained that after enough intelligence had been gathered, the raid was carried out which led to the detention of 27 year old Lefrin Iliton Aldana Casasola of Peten Guatemala.

We worked on it and Special Branch was the main person behind it and they had the information and we worked on it.

What happens to him right now and where is he right now and what are the procedures for him to be returned?

ASP Selvyn Tillett, Officer in Charge OW Police

He is detained and we should hand him over to Guatemalan authorities as he is wanted over there. We have a warrant for his arrest.

“So how long will that take?

ASP Selvyn Tillett, Officer in Charge OW Police

It should not take long. We have no time set for that.

Aldana Casasola was being sought for the murder of one Eber that occurred in Poptun Peten on April 30, 2014.  So far our investigation reveals that Aldana Casasola entered Belize legally with a valid Guatemalan passport but he over stayed his tourist visit.  At the time of the detention he was living in a small wooden plywood structured at the entrance of Yo Creek with his sister and brother in law.  LOVE NEWS has learnt that some residents of Yo Creek are surprised with the news of Aldana Casasola’s arrest as he is well liked and had integrated himself into the community.  Sources tell us that Aldana has confessed to Belize police that he indeed commit the crime he is accused of.
