No murder charge has been laid in connection with the murder of two American nationals in May in Tea Kettle Village. Belmopan Police have made an arrest for burglary in connection with the incident.

Superintendent Howell Gillett, Officer in Charge of Belmopan

“As you may remember on the 15th of May of this year, two American citizens lost their lives through murder, they were Mr. Julian Jones and Mr. Paul Signorino both of Teakettle Village. In an update to that case which we have been actively investigating Cardinal Lemoth of dual addresses being St. Matthew’s Village and Belize City was today charged with burglary in relation to this incident. He was earlier today taken to the Belmopan Magistrate’s court and was remanded until the 28th of August this year. Other charges may be forthcoming so as the investigation progresses. Also noteworthy Mr. Shaylon Sanchez of a Teakettle address was charged for his very same incident. So as it stands now two men now stand accused for this incident. We are very grateful to Belize City police who assisted in the capture of Mr. Lemoth in Belize this weekend.”
