A Belizean man is in problems in Nicaragua after he was caught with over one hundred pounds of marijuana.  According to the Nicaraguan National Police website, 42 year old Wayne Thomas Reneau was caught with 101 packs of the controlled herb which when weighed, totaled approximately 123 pounds.  The operation was conducted on Saturday evening at the Nicaragua – Costa Rica border crossing near San Francisco.  Reneau was driving a white color dodge ram van with Orange Walk license plate.  Police conducted a search of the van and discovered the controlled drug hidden in two separate compartments on the roof of the van.  Reneau is now in Nicaraguan police custody and when interviewed he told police he entered Nicaragua via Honduras.  Police believe Reneau was intending to transport the illegal drug into Costa Rica.  Reneau is a resident of Saint Peter’s Street in Orange Walk Town.
