Mechanic charged for forgery

28-year-old Glenford Logan, a mechanic has been charged with 18 counts of forgery, 18 counts of theft and 18 counts of claiming upon a forged document. 78-year-old John Oliver a retired Canadian national of Buttonwood Bay in Belize City reported that last week he received a phone call from a bank teller where he was informed that 18 cheques were withdrawn from his account, all to a total value of six thousand two hundred and fifty dollars. He told Police that around the end of July he discovered that his cheque book was missing from his vehicle and upon viewing the cheques that were cashed; he confirmed that his signature was forged.  Logan appeared before Magistrate Deborah Rogers.
