Love News has received credible reports that three coast guard officers working out of Consejo Village were detained today for allegations of extortion.  Details are not readily available at the moment but we understand that a resident of Consejo was bringing uncustomed goods from the Mexican side through the Chetumal Bay when he was intercepted by the coast guards.  The residents claims the three officers demanded he gives them money in order to avoid being detained and his goods confiscated.  As a result the resident made a report and police acted on it and detained the three coast guard officers.
