EU Ambassador In Belize For Celebrations and Other Business

Head of Delegation for the European Union to Belize, Ambassador Paola Amadei is in Belize. During her visit, Ambassador Amadei will meet with several government officials. Next week the Ambassador will be on hand for the handing over of Vocational Training Equipment to Georgetown Technical High School in the Stann Creek District. This project, funded from resources of the Banana Accompanying Measures programme, will benefit the school that has previously received funding from the EU. Following this event, there will be ceremony at Monkey River Village in the Toledo District, where a refurbished hurricane shelter will be handed over. This project, with contributions from the EU and the Government of Belize amounting to over one point five million dollars, is part of the wider Belize Rehabilitation and Construction of Hurricane Shelters Programme, in which nineteen shelters, located throughout the country have been rehabilitated.
