Corozal police did a house raid last night in that municipality on Narciso Street in the Altamira Area.  That search resulted in the discovery of one hundred and eighteen grams of marijuana.  Subsequently, 49-year-old businessman, Wilbert Pedro Hernandez was arrested and charged with drug trafficking.  Police, this time on the Placencia peninsula, also conducted an operation which resulted in the discovery of five hundred and fifty four point one grams of marijuana.  The search was done on two empty lots on the south side of the village leading to three black plastic bags that contained the drug.  In this instance, no arrests were made as no one was found in the area.  The drugs were reportedly deposited at the Police Station and labelled as found property.
