Tourist Arrivals Look Promising Following Slight Decrease

Updated: October 15, 2015

A couple months ago we had reported a one percent decline in tourist arrivals to Belize for the first half of this year due to a devaluation of currency in the Canadian market. However, nearing the end of the year, Director of the Belize Tourism Board Karen Bevans says that the market is back up and that tourist arrivals are at a nineteen point three growth since June.

“For September we have a 19.3% growth in arrivals and over all for the last quarter we also had major growths because our growths started June,- July, August and September. Before that we did an interview and we had a 1% reduction but things turned around and since June we have been having all increases in arrivals and we see that growth continuing.”
