“On Sunday, November 1st Ladyville police responded to the scene of a road traffic accident between mile 8 and 8 1/2 on the Phillip Goldson Highway just in front of the Maya Cement compound where we saw a minor lying on the ground suffering from varying degrees of injuries. Investigations revealed that the said minor was knocked down by a grey taxi. We spoke to the driver, Ronald Mejia 24 year old, who reported that on the same date around 9:50am he was driving on the said highway from the direction of Belize to the northern district and coming close to the Maya Cement he saw several minors on bicycles. He reports that all of a sudden he felt an impact and one of the minors went into the pavement and collided into the vehicle. We called the BERT ambulance and waiting for them and the said minor was transported to the KHMH. Shortly after we went to check on the patient and we found out that he received only minor injuries and was treated and released.”

Details are still sketchy but we can tell you that the child, Camroy Williams sustained leg and bodily injuries but is in a stable condition.
