The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent out a release today warning business persons and citizens to be weary of individuals posing as representatives of that ministry while soliciting for donations.  The release reads, quote, “It has been brought to the attention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that persons claiming to be the Minister of Foreign Affairs or persons claiming to be acting on his behalf have recently been contacting business establishments and individuals attempting to solicit donations.  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs therefore informs the general public that neither the Ministry of Foreign Affairs nor the Minister, or anyone acting on his behalf, is requesting monetary or in-kind donations from any person or any business establishment.  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs further calls on the general public to report such activities immediately to the Police and also warns perpetrators to immediately desist from such acts.”  End of quote.
