Last week we reported on the decrease in the price of regular and premium gasoline.  Today the Ministry of Finance announced that as a result of lower CIF prices on a recent shipment of fuels, the pump price for diesel has decreased. The new pump price for diesel in Belize City is now down forty two cents a gallon to six dollars and fifty eight cents. The release from the Ministry of Finance, reiterates that it is the policy of government to pass on all future reductions in the CIF prices of fuel products directly to pump prices and also intends to maintain the current level of duties and taxes without change on these products.
