About 2016 Weight Loss Resolutions ….

With 2016 just getting started some two weeks ago, many persons are still trying to fulfil a resolution for a healthy lifestyle as it pertains to the food and beverages they consume as well as the hours put into exercise.  Love News met up with the Nutritionist at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, Giovanni Duran who spoke to us on the key elements to a healthy living.

As many are aware, the market has been swamped with weight loss supplements ranging from shakes to capsules and even herbal teas.  Duran says that while these products may serve as an immediate fix in some cases, the repercussions can be unwelcoming.

With any resolution to lose weight or achieve body tone, there is the factor of exercise which many struggle to incorporate into their schedule.  Duran, who studied Food Science, Health Nutrition and Health Promotion at the Mississippi State University, told Love News that exercise is dependent on what you want to achieve.

Duran has been at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital as the Nutritionist for over two years and he has been working with staff members at the hospital in promoting healthy living.

 

Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital under the guidance of Duran was the winner in a 2015 health competition hosted by HECOPAB, the Health Education and Community Participation Bureau and the Ministry of Health.
