Weekend Highway Accidents Reported

Over the weekend there were two other road traffic accidents that occurred in rural Belize.  Senior Superintendent Edward Broaster of Ladyville Police Station provided the details on the first that occurred on the George Price Highway.


“On Saturday the 16th at about 10:45 am where a blue pick up truck driven by one Robert Logan suffered a blowout and flipped seven times at mile 13 on the George Price Highway. He was taken to the hospital and has been treated and since released. Fortunately he survived that accident, his vehicle burst into flames and was totally destroyed by fire.”

In the second incident, the driver escaped with minor injuries.


“At 1:39am on Sunday morning where a silver Daihatsu Terios, license plate 23618 driven b Enrique Monima, 38 year manager of 88 kitchen on Central American Boulevard was travelling from on the Lord’s Bank Road from Green Estates toward Edwin Parks Avenue when he suffered mechanical difficulties, his steering was locked, he flipped one time and his vehicle was extensively damaged. Mr.Monima did not really suffer serious injuries.”
