PUP Trio Agrees to Debate Prior to Convention

The People’s United Party’s national convention is set for Sunday, January 31 in Belmopan. Contesting for the post of leader, are the present leader, Francis Fonseca, Lake Independence area representative, Cordel Hyde and former party leader and Orange Walk Central area representative, John Briceno. The three candidates who will be vying for the leadership of the People’s United Party have agreed to a debate. According to one of the organizers, since they have just received confirmation from all the candidates, they are still in the process of putting everything in place. He did say the objective of the debate is to allow candidates to speak on the plans they have for the PUP. What has been set is the date which is Thursday, January 28.
