Youth Ambassador from Jamaica in Belize for Youth Leaders’ Forum

A part of the vision of the Caribbean Regional Youth Council is for institutional strengthening and capacity building of National youth councils in the region. Belize is holding their first ever National Youth Council District elections that will ultimately make up the National Youth Council of Belize. Representatives of youth groups that have been registered with the Department of Youth Services across the country, will be able to vote at the District Youth Council Elections to be held on February 27. Chairperson of the Caribbean Youth Council, Tijani Christian is in Belize and he spoke to Love News about his participation in the upcoming Youth Leaders Forum.

Christian spoke about what it takes for a country to have a National Youth Council and who has the right to vote in district elections which will make up the National Council for Belize.

The National Youth Leaders Convention will be held this Saturday hosted by the Department of youth and services.
