One person is dead and another hospitalized following motorcycle accident on the Placencia Road. On Sunday, police visited an area about half mile from the junction of Riversdale and the road leading to the Sagitun Banana Farm, where they saw a red and black motor-cycle in a drain, with damages to the front portion.  Initial investigation revealed that about two o’clock on Sunday morning, 21-year-old Herlin Geovanni Rhodas of Santa Cruz Village was riding the motorcycle accompanied by 25-year-old Yuri Guerra,  a Canadian painter also of Santa Cruz when Herlin lost control and ran off the road and ended up in the deep drain. Both received head and body injuries and were transported to the Southern Regional Hospital, where Rhodas passed away while receiving treatment. Yuri Guerra was admitted to ward in a serious but stable condition.
