Last Friday, we told you of 30-year-old, Garfield Dennison, a Belizean man who is currently a student at the University of Guyana in Georgetown, Guyana.  He was shot just after taking his girlfriend home and was in a critical condition at the Georgetown Hospital.  Dennison had received a shot to the chest and one to the left hand.  Family members here in Belize were frightful that he would not have survived.  This afternoon, however, we can tell you that he is conscious and stable.  Love News understands that the chest tube has been removed and he is now able to speak.  The shooting happened in an area called Cummings Lodge in East Coast Demerara.  Investigators have not made much progress in finding the shooters nor in establishing a motive for the shooting although robbery has been ruled out as nothing was taken from Dennison.
