For week eight of the sugar cane crop season, more than three hundred thousand tons of cane has been ground and more than thirty thousand tons of sugar has been produced. This is about ten thousand tons less when compared to the same time period last year. And while the sugar production is low, the mud extraction has increased. For week number eight, seventeen thousand, three hundred and forty one tons of mud has been extracted, that is an increase of more than a thousand ton. It is a problem that the BSI/ASR has to deal with. BSI/ASR Consultant Modesto Ulloa shared the challenges.
