Vehicle stolen in Belize, recovered in Peten

Superintendent Selvin Tillett of Lomas del Rodeo area, Benque Viejo Town reported to the police that yesterday morning his white 2014 Mazda Pickup truck was stolen from him at gun point. He was with his son-in-law when he parked the vehicle in front of his house on Humble Street at Lomas Del Rodeo Benque Viejo Town when he saw two Hispanic male persons walking on the street. Tillett said when he opened the driver’s door, one of the men pointing a black handgun at him and demanded the vehicle. The two male persons then got inside the vehicle and drove off heading towards the direction of Arenal Village. Today with the assistance of Melchor police, the vehicle was recovered in a bushy lot in Rudon Village, Peten.
