Food Vendor Charged in Murder of American Retiree

One person has been charged with murder in connection with a recent fatal stabbing incident in Punta Gorda. Correspondent Paul Mahung reports.

“Deputy Commander of the Toledo Police formation inspector Clement Cacho spoke of the charge.”

“In reference to the death of Thomas Paul Rokowski that occurred on the 13th of February 2016 Punta Gorda police formally arrested and charged Roy Jones, 48 year old Belizean Food Vendor of Cattle Landing Village for the crime of murder. This charge was laid on him on Friday the 19th of February.”

“Punta Gorda police responded to a 911 call at about 9:30pm on February 13 and upon arrival to the residence of 69 year old American retiree Thomas Paul Rokowski found him alive with reported stab wounds to the neck and chest area of his body. Thom Rokowski was transported by ambulance to the Punta Gorda hospital and onto the Southern Regional in Dangriga and thereafter to the KHMH where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday night February 15.”
