8 Injured in Holy Thursday Accident

A road traffic accident occurred on the Phillip Goldson Highway just after three o’clock this afternoon. It occurred at mile thirty one near the Crooked Tree Junction and involved three vehicles, a grey Hyundai, a white four door pick up and a maroon ford expedition. Police on the scene could not say what caused the accident. At this time are able to tell you that eight persons were involved in the accident. Ac couple were transported to the Northern Regional Hospital and others to the Karl Heunser Memorial Hospital. One of the drivers, Benjamin Lawrence who was travelling in the grey Hyundai told Love News us that he was tailgated by the white pickup truck which hit his bumper and caused him to lose control of the vehicle. Police say they could not get a proper statement from Lawrence.
