Security Guard Imposters Rob Gas Station in Rural Belize

Yesterday, Belize River Valley Supplies Gas station in Scotland Half Moon Village was robbed. Two males dressed in Fort Point Security uniforms entered the vicinity and demanded money from the cashier at gunpoint.  A total of eleven hundred dollars cash in different denominations were stolen, along with a number of outdoor products from the shelf and cell phones. Assistant Commissioner of Police Edward Broaster, Officer in Command Rural North told the media that they were able to catch the perpetrators, recover the goods and seize the getaway vehicle.

 

 

Assistant Commissioner Broaster spoke about one of the robbers who got injured trying to escape. He added they are in the process of investigating the authenticity of the uniforms used.

 

 

Love News spoke with the Office Administrator of Fort Point Security, Marisol Requena who told us that they have met with the investigators and the uniforms used in the robbery have not been used by Fort Point Security officers since 2013 and their internal investigation will determine if the uniforms were duplicates.

 

 

Requena went on to send a message to their clients, assuring them that their company remains committed to continue providing quality service.

 

 

The two robbers detained are Trevor McFoy and a minor who have been charged with three counts of robbery. Charges are pending for the occupants of the getaway car, Kevin Faber, Dean Zelaya and Mark August.
