“I was sitting in the back with my little brother and sister and we accidentally took the wrong road and we crashed into the ground into a pool where animals were bathing. We heard people coming and police, we were waiting then people started to pull us out and the ambulance came and took myself and my family to the hospital. I got a broken jaw and a few cuts on my arm as well as bruises on my leg.”

Juanita Hyde is a family friend who has been helping the family since the news of the accident.  According to Hyde, who has been friends with the deceased since childhood, says the wife and two other children had undergone surgery in Peten and are to be transferred to Belize City late this evening.
