As a news team was returning from the Cayo District, they happened upon a scene at the approach of the Burdon Creek Canal Bridge located at about mile five on the George Price Highway.  There they encountered a motorbike engulfed in flames and a grey Jeep Cherokee with Belmopan license plates on the right side off the highway.  Upon their arrival, two persons who were reportedly traveling on the motorcycle were being placed in the pan of a red pickup truck suffering from burns to various parts of their body.  A witness on the scene told Love News that the Jeep Cherokee reportedly hit the motorcycle from the rear and the cycle then burst into flames.  A BERT ambulance met the pickup truck transporting the victims about two miles down the road where they were being stabilized.  Police arrived at the scene some ten minutes later.
