Host of CODICADER 2016 – A First for Belize

Belize is preparing to host the 2016 CODICADER Central American games for the first time. Belize has been confirmed to host over one thousand guests for the eight Sports Games, CODICADER at the primary level. The games are scheduled to be held July 6 to July 12 and athletes will be involved in basketball, soccer, table tennis and volleyball. Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Elodio Aragon Jr. spoke about the competition.

 

The competition will see athletes from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. Aragon spoke about the benefits of having all the countries together.

The four disciplines that Belize will host are basketball, soccer, table tennis and volleyball. Aragon told us where these games will occur.

 

The remainder of games will be held in Honduras from September 21 to 30 while the games for athletes with disabilities will occur in November.
