Yesterday, whilst waiting for the OAS Secretary General’s press conference to get underway at the Philip Goldson International Airport, Love News spoke with Belize’s Ambassador to the OAS, Pat Andrews who, as we reported last week, presented his letter of introduction to the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.  The continuation of relations between Belize and Canada is key as she is a member of the Group of Friends who has been supporting the OAS Peace Fund as explained by Ambassador Andrews.

Andrews now holds the posts of Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States, Ambassador to the United States and Belize High Commission to Canada.  Andrews’ work continues primarily out of Washington DC.  Holding these three posts as a diplomat is nothing new as they have been held previously by Ambassadors Nestor Mendez, Lisa Shoman and James Murphy.
