For the fourth year in a row, the High River Sauces held its New York City Hot Sauce Expo where the tradition has been to induct pepper sauce makers to their Hall of Fame.  As we reported some weeks ago, Belize has been placed on that list with businesswoman, Marie Sharp being inducted to the Hot Sauce Hall of Fame.  The event took place this past weekend in Brooklyn.  There, Sharp was presented with an award as well as a class ring engraved with her name and the year, 2016.  Not only was Marie Sharp the only woman being inducted but she is also the only foreigner among the five chosen for 2016.  Sharp, who founded Marie Sharp’s Fine Foods in Dangriga attended the event and was accompanied by her Marketing Manager, Jody Williams and her company’s General Manager, Rocio Aguilar.
