Health Sector Prepares to Celebrate Nurses’ Week 2016

Next week will be celebrated as Nurses week, set aside to recognize the contributions that nurses make to the community. This morning on the Morning Show, Michelle Hoare, Director of Nursing Services at the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital spoke about some of the activities that have been planned.

 

Today, Love News visited the KHMH and spoke to some of the nurses. We spoke to Neroli Williams who has been a nurse for ten years. Williams is the Unit Manager Nurse at the Intensive Care Unit.

 

Dominique Lewis is new to the nursing profession and is very passionate about the career she has chosen. She is a nurse in the Adult Intensive Care Unit. She spoke about the necessity of portraying the good work of nurses.

 

Caty Blanford is a Salvadoran who has been living in Belize and working as a nurse for twelve years. Today she spoke to us about why she feels nurses are important.

 

May 8 to the 14 will be celebrated as Nurse’s week.
