Joint Ops Lead to Several Arrests for Drug Trafficking

Early this morning, police arrested and charged two females from Georgetown Village with the offence of Drug Trafficking. 53-year-old, Hortence Martinez, 23-year-old, Shalini Sebastian and a minor were all charged when personnel from Special Branch, Crimes Investigation Branch attached to Intermediate Southern Formation along with the K9 unit conducted a drug and firearm operation. The search led police to the discovery of one hundred and thirty five point grams of cannabis inside Martinez’s house by the bathroom area.  Meanwhile, a Santa Cruz resident, 27-year- old Juan Aguilar’s home was searched and led to the discovery of ten grams cannabis for which he was charged for possession of controlled drugs.  As well, the home of 27-year-old, Clemente Sho a farmer of Red bank Village was searched and police found two point eight grams Cannabis. He was subsequently charged for the offence.
