Having Lunch with A Cop

The Police Department has jumped on a new initiative through their community policing efforts. While you’ve heard and maybe even interacted with the police on their meet and greet efforts every week, this new initiative is not only having a conversation with the officers and expressing your concerns and suggestions, you get to have lunch with them. Public Relations officer, Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood told Love News what it’s all about.

Yearwood says they are community orientated officers who will sit and discuss the issues brought up. He says the setting will be informal.

If you’re wondering if you are eligible to dine with the Commissioner of Police and Assistant Commissioners, Yearwood says any one is welcome to join. Just meet them at the location selected for the week.

The new initiative begins next Thursday at the Ocean View Restaurant behind Princess Ramada from eleven thirty in the morning until one in the afternoon.
