CARICOM’s Deputy SG In Belize

Deputy Secretary General of CARICOM, Ambassador Manorma P. Soeknandan, PhD. is on a three day working visit to Belize. During that time, Dr. Soeknandan will be meeting with officials of the Government of Belize, as well as representatives of the various CARICOM institutions headquartered in Belize. Earlier today, Dr. Soeknandan visited the OAS Office in the Adjacency Zone, where she was briefed on the latest developments taking place in the Adjacency Zone between Belize and Guatemala.  At the Nineteenth Meeting of the Council of Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR), CARICOM Foreign Ministers emphasized their “resolute support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of Belize.” Dr. Soeknandan leaves Belize on Thursday.
