Woman Freed of 100+ Counts of Theft After Accused of Taking Money from Travellers Limited

Twenty-six year old Rashida Sedacy, charged with over 100 counts of theft for monies amounting to over eighty thousand dollars was freed of all charges when they were dismissed today by the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith.  The charges were dismissed for want of prosecution. The prosecution wanted to give additional disclosure but Sedacy’s attorney, Darrell Bradley, submitted that the time for that had already passed. It was alleged that Sedacy had stolen the money in 2014, when she was the cashier at Traveller’s Limited, located on the Phillip Goldson Highway.
