Unions and Government Discuss OSHA

The Occupational Safety and Health Bill has been at a standstill since 2014. Recently there has been a move to address the bill and consultations have been taking place between the National Trade Union Congress and the Chamber of Commerce. Minister of Labour, Rural Development and Local Government, Hugo Patt spoke about the progress of the bill.


Minister Patt did not give a timeline as to when the bill will be reviewed; he stated that the bill is of utmost important in the ministry’s agenda.
