After going through the court system here in Belize, Speednet SMART took their plight with the Public Utilities even further to the Caribbean Court of Justice.  It is a matter where the PUC is being accused of overcharging Speednet for the channels they use in providing telecommunication services to their subscribers.  The matter was heard at the CCJ in Port of Spain, Trinidad on June 28 as explained by Speednet’s attorney, Senior Counsel Eamon Courtenay.

The parties are now awaiting a ruling after engaging in over two hours of arguments last week at the CCJ.  According to Courtenay, there are thousands of dollars at stake.
