There was a shooting incident on Neal Pen Road extension on Friday night where by twenty six year old Clifford Anderson was shot. Assistant Commissioner of Police Chester Williams spoke of his condition and their preliminary investigation.

CHESTER WILLIAMS

“I think it was sometime after 9pm police were called to the basketball court on Pen Road extension and upon arrival they met one Clifford Anderson who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the hip/abdomen area. He was transported to the hospital and he was admitted in a critical condition. From what the doctors were saying is that he had bled internally and that is a difficult issue hence the reason he had to go into surgery immediately. He went through surgery and is currently listed in a critical condition in hospital. Apparently there was some incident that might have taken place sometime yesterday or day before and that was what triggered what took place and it goes back to what I have always been saying that many of the shootings we are having of recent are not as a result of old beef but rather things that just happen and it develops so quickly and resulted in death.”

As mentioned, Anderson remains in a critical condition.
