Two weeks ago on July 13 2016, thirty year old Dwayne Hyde knocked on his front door, frightened for his life claiming that someone wanted to kill him. His common-law-wife, 22-year-old, Kimberly Humes opened the door and minutes later two male persons entered the yard and Hyde was shot in his abdomen. He had tried to defend himself with a screw driver, injuring one of the assailants to the neck and mouth. Hyde was rushed to the Otto Rodriguez Polyclinic in San Pedro and later to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was being treated. Last week, however, Hyde succumbed to his injuries and died at the KHMH. His body is currently at the morgue awaiting a postmortem examination.  Police detained two individuals; one identified as twenty three year old Luis Manuel Carter also known as Wizz from San Pablo Area in San Pedro. The charges were initially attempted murder; those are now expected to be upgraded to murder.
