As hundreds of families are toiling to get their homes back to normal, a taxi driver and a Belize City resident were reportedly transporting illegal drugs to Orange Walk Town from Belize City.  Police had set up a checkpoint in Sandhill Village, Belize District on Saturday when just after midnight they came across a 1995 maroon Chevy Prism taxi registered in the Orange Walk District.  A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a black plastic bag containing two hundred and sixty grams of cannabis.  Police subsequently arrested the driver, 41-year-old, Julian Chuc of Belize Street in Orange Walk Town and 24-year-old, Kadeem Courtenay of a Tibruce Street address of Belize City.  Both men were charged with drug trafficking.
