Canadian national, Melissa Ferguson, the common-law wife of accused murderer William Mason, who was remanded into custody on a charge of conspiracy to commit kidnapping, was released today on a bail of twelve thousand dollars that was granted by Justice John Gonzalez. The respondent, represented by Senior Crown Counsel Sheneiza Smith, did not object to bail. The bail was offered on the condition that Ferguson reports to Belmopan Police Station every Friday, commencing this Friday, until the matter is disposed of; that Ferguson surrenders all travel documents; that she attends court on all adjourned dates; and that she does not interfere with the prosecution witnesses. Ferguson was represented by attorney Dickie Bradley.
