PM Says He Is Open to Senate Inquiry

Updated: September 9, 2016

The controversy over what transpired last week in the Senate when the People’s United Party’s senator motion for a senate inquiry into the Auditor General’s report on the Immigration and Nationality Department was defeated, has been the source of much discussion. Today Prime Minister Dean Barrow had somewhat of a change of heart and has stated that he is open to a Senate Inquiry if it is the desire of the majority.

So, the Prime Minister is open to a Senate Inquiry; he is, however, not open to having Senator Mark Lizarraga chair the committee.

Senator Mark Lizarraga is the representative for the business sector.
