PM Speaks on Guatemala’s Request for New Investigation

Earlier we have reported that the Guatemalan government is unhappy and dissatisfied with the report submitted by the Organization of American States as it relates to the shooting death of the 13-year-old, Julio Rene Alvarado Ruano.  The report has cleared the Belizean military of any guilt and has reported that the minor had been previously detained, on March 2, 2016, by BDF-FCD personnel approximately 100 meters inside the Adjacency Zone carrying a crocus sack with two dead Gibnut.  Guatemala’s President, Jimmy Morales has called for a do-over of the report and the removal of Magdalena Talamas of the OAS.  Prime Minister Dean Barrow weighed in on the point of contention from President Morales.
