A fatal traffic accident left Salvadorian National Jose Chinchilla Molina dead in the early hours of Sunday morning. The accident happened outside of the Dream Light City Night Club at mile and a half on the Phillip Goldson Highway. Eyewitness accounts are that a F150 blue pickup truck with British license plates and being driven by forty one year old Sergeant Lee Humphreys, British National attached to BATSUB, backed up into a group of people that were eating at Sonia’s Diner, a food stand beside the club. Molina was knocked unconscious. Due to the high impact he was trapped under the pickup and was severely injured. Persons around helped remove the pick truck with the use of a backhoe and recovered the body of Molina. He was transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dezeree Phillips stated this morning that the police has conducted an investigation and will be honoring the agreement Belize has with the Government of the United Kingdom regarding nationals of that country.
