The Corozal Free Zone will be investing two and a half million dollars in developing infrastructure such as the installation of storm water drain, sidewalks, parking areas, roundabout, pedestrian ramps and the installation of traffic signs and markings. The Corozal Freezone is making these developments to attract customers and provide a better shopping experience to visitors. The improvements are expected to alleviate flooded waters that accumulate in front of some establishments. The infrastructural development is expected to be completed within the next six months. The projects will be funded in tri part by the administration of the Corozal Free Zone, the Government of Belize and a bond raised by private investors. Designs for the developments were made by Young’s Engineering Consultancy Ltd. The project was awarded to Belize Roadway Construction Limited after successful bidding.
