Anglican churches around the country are preparing for their upcoming sessions of the Synod slated to begin on Friday, October 14.  This is an event that happens every two years with the church heads coming together to look at both internal and external exercises with an objective to effectively implement them.  Love News spoke with the head of the Anglican Diocese, Bishop Philip Wright on the issues to be tackled.

The meetings of the Church heads will be in sessions for two days and the Synod will end with a church service on Sunday which will be preceded by a spiritual walk as explained by Bishop Wright.

The Anglican Church like other denominations do have their established congregation but Bishop Wright says it is not so much about preaching to the choir.

The opening of the Synod on Friday, October 14 will be aired live on Love Television from 9am to 11am while the Bishop’s address will be aired live on Love FM at 9:30am.
