A Corozal man has been detained by Ladyville police for impersonating a Customs officer. ACP Commanding Eastern Belize Rural, Edward Broaster, told us more.

We understand that the man stole the custom’s uniform from his neighbor and altered it to fit him. Police are having a hard time charging the man because whilst it is illegal for someone to impersonate a police officer, and even a BDF soldier, they have not been able to find something in the Customs Act that says it is illegal for someone to impersonate a customs officer.
