Asia Gilharry Places in Top Five in Trinidad Pageant

Asia Gilharry earned 3rd runner-up and “Best Sari” at the Miss Divali Nagar Queen Pageant hosted by the National Council of Indian Culture in Trinidad and Tobago last week. Gilharry is a fourth form student at the Corozal Community College where she is majoring in Academic Sciences. Asia has been an active member of Corozal Organization of East Indian Cultural Heritage organization and has participated in leading roles in traditional Indian dances during cultural festivals and pageants.The pageant was held at the National Council of Indian Culture’s (NCIC) Divali Nagar in Chaguanas last Thursday night. Gilharry received a cash prize of five thousand dollars.
