The Belize Zoo Mourns the Death of Lucky Boy

Updated: November 4, 2016

There is a sense of melancholy at the Belize Zoo following the death of one of its most beloved creatures named Lucky Boy. The Black jaguar, Lucky Boy, died today.  A statement from the ZOO says quote, “Our staff attended to him for over two weeks, providing care and constant medical attention.  Unfortunately, his health steadily declined.  Lucky Boy was twenty years old and fought chronic health problems ever since his arrival to the Zoo in 2012.  This stellar jaguar brought joy and happiness to the lives of many for well over four years.  The Belize Zoo is committed to keeping his special spirit alive forever.   Lucky Boy, such as an incredible guy, is, and always will be, greatly missed.” End of quote.
