San Ignacio Police Seeks Gunman in Weekend Shooting

San Ignacio Police are looking for one man who they say can help them figure out who shot thirty three year old Patrick Gordon and why. Gordon was shot several times over the weekend while in the company of friends but investigators are having difficulties extracting information from those who may have seen the shooter. Love News spoke to San Ignacio Deputy Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Daniel Iche.

“On Saturday November 5 2016 at about 10:30am San Ignacio police responded to an information of a shooting incident on Carrillo Puerto Avenue in Santa Elena town. Investigations revealed that Patrick Gordon, 33 year old Belizean unemployed of a Santa Elena town address was driving his blue Corolla car on Carrillo Puerto Avenue along with two others when he was shot at. He sustained injuries to the left upper part of his chest. 4 9mm expended shells were recovered from the scene and we are seeking out one person who we believe can assist us in this investigation.”

“This person is from the area? Is he from the Cayo district?”

“Yes he is from the Cayo District.”

“Do you have any motive as yet?”

DANIEL ICHE

“Not as yet.”

HIPOLITO NOVELO

“The victim who was shot at is he known to police, does he have any criminal background?”

DANIEL ICHE

“He is known to us.”

HIPOLITO NOVELO

“Was there any witnesses to his event?”

DANIEL ICHE

“There are some witnesses but we are seeing a bit of reluctance in cooperation from  the community.”

Police are asking all those with information that can assist in their investigation to call the nearest police station.
